I bought my BMW at scrabyard they told the problem is sensor pully and the machenic put the sensor but still not want to start

check that the immobiliser is operational or the key fob battery is good. run the fault codes to check for other faulty sensors.

Hi i bought a vw beetle was running fine the last few days. I went to drive it yesterday and it wont start the immobiliser is showing its not flashing tho. My step dad replaced the car keys battery the day...

My immobiliser keeps flashing until I put the key in the ignition and then it stops. Normally changing key batteries has a period that if the battery is changed inside that time (say 5 minutes) then the key program will not loose memory Run fault codes to see if there is a problem in the electronics. Otherwise you may have to take the car to the dealer to have the key reprogrammed to the cpu in the car

How do i enter radio code for 2009 honda civic

I just had this happen today when I jump started my car due to leaving my head lights on. Call the honda dealership you got your car from, or if you bought it privately just call a honda dealership. They will tell you to press and hold the pre-set buttons 2 & 6 and it will give you a number, they will type it into their computer and they will be able to give you the code. You have to use the pre-set buttons on the radio to enter the code. That will fix the problem... If you already entered to many wrong codes it will not allow you to enter anymore... You will have to either wait an hour and then it will reset again and let you enter the code or you can disconnect the battery for 5-10 mins, reconnect it and then the radio will reset and ask you for the code again. Good luck guys!

We change out battery in 2005 Xtype jag after we install battery and car was running as we was program the radio all the light on dash starting blinking and the car died

Sounds like an issue with the car's immobiliser. In order to prevent theft by disconnecting the alarm system when the power is cut the immobiliser is programmed to interrupt the car restart when power resumed. You will need to reset the alarm code.

We bought a car secondhand privately,it has a after market immobiliser fitted, we were not given a immobiliser key naturally the people not answering phone, we have fitted a new battery (old one faulty)...

yes you will have to remove it, remove the cover on driverside under the dash, you will see wires coming down the steering column, the main wire may be yellow or red, you will see wire cut and split into mobilizer remove and connect wire back together, they will be the same color, the rest of the wiring can stay as long as the starter wire is reconnected.

Immobiliser wont go off , wont unlock the doors.

There is a way to override the code, however you need the code number. The only other way is to sit in car with door shut, play with the central locking button on dash, locking and unlocking. While doing this occassionally turn the ignition on and off. If you do it long enough, you may find the immobiliser light goes out, if it does, quickly start the car.

Radio code

If you don't have the radios security code, you can try entering 1111 as some replacement radios were coded with this security code. Your local Audi Dealer may be able to provide the correct security code for your vehicle, if you provide them with your vehicles Identification Number (VIN). This VIN is typically located on the drivers door pillar.

The radio should have a serial number on the unit which also can be given to the Audi dealer and checked in their data base of radio security codes. The serial number will start with AUZ, one radio serial number for example is AUZ1Z9A1965412.

To enter the code on the Wiesbaden Radio: Turn on the radio, SAFE should be displayed.
Push and hold the AM/FM button, then while holding the AM button down, push and hold down the SCAN button. Release the AM/FM and SCAN buttons, and the display should show 1000. Now enter the correct code using the radio pre-set station buttons (1-4). Button 1 changes the first digit in the code "1"000, Button 2 changes the second digit in the code 1"0"00, button 3 changes the third digit, button 4 changes the last digit in the code. In most cases the first digit is a 1 and won't need to be changed. You push each pre-set station button multiple times to step through the digits (1-9) to get the correct code displayed.

Code 1246 would entered by pushing button "2" two times, pushing button 3 four times, and pushing button 4, six times.

After entering the correct security code, push and hold down the AM/FM button, then while holding down the AM/FM button, push and hold down the SCAN button. The display will then show SAFE, release the two buttons, and now the radio should play correctly.
