This is in a 1995 isuzu trooper,4x4, Automatic. 1)What causes intermittent check engine light activation, but when you stop at a light it goes out. the smallest touch of the accelerator turns it on. if your on a trip, stop at road side rest 10 minutes, the light doesnt come on for hundreds of miles. 2)When the highway, when the transmission shifts down, and then returns to OD, the rpms stay higher, 2-300 rpms. 3) high back pressure when fuel tank is opened,

Where is the starter switch located in a 1995 isuzu trooper LS. Not sure if there talking about key switch or other in column.
The key lock cylinder operates the ignition switch sometimes ignition switch is separate sorry I didn't find where ignition switch is located if the lock cylinder is plugged into it.
You should have a starter relay and starter relay fuse.
This diagram of starter circuit shows the clutch pedal switch in the circuit on an automatic should have the neutral safety switch in the circuit. This is for 95 Rodeo.

should be no problem
bell housings are made to fit the engine not the transmission as the transmission is used across a range of manufacturers so if the bell housing is of an engine that is the same as yours then it should fit your transmission

Isuzu trooper duty 1995 loss of power wont rev over 1800rpm
the cars come with many diff. engines. and EFI systems that match it.
so cant help you.
but ill answer in pure physics.
1: lost DC 12v power to the EFI system causing spark and fuel losses.
2: lost engine compression. 1 or more cylinders.
3: lost spark or never doing a full tuneup every 60k at least.
4: bad fueling, too much or too little.
what do do is a few simple tools to discover the truth.

Why does my Trooper take 30 minutes to warm up before intermittent power surging and panel lights blinking stops?
Need to know more. Is it petrol or diesel. If diesel is it the 3.1 or 3.0. Isuzu changed engines that year (1998) from 3.1 to 3.0 common rail.

Not much power from a V-6 engine
1. Replace Fuel pump and
2. Replace Transmission.

But you can also do a scan.

1989 Isuzu Trooper 2.6 5 speed. 4x4 jumps in gear by itself. 4x4 shifter is pulled hard back and held there but on highways it will jump back into gear. Have to stop and back up to unlock automatic hubs. Any suggestions?
