About a year ago, someone broke into my car and ripped out my radio. As far as I can tell, I believe they ripped out whatever wires were needed to install a new radio. I was inquiring as to whether or not it is possible to install a replacement considering the Radio wires are missing or do I need to revisit a Suzuki dealership and have the ground work competely redone. Im a young woman who does not know much about cars at all. I purchases her from a family friend and Ive been doing all of the work myself.About a year ago, someone broke into my car and ripped out my radio. You will need to buy an install kit even if they did. The back of new Radio's don't have anything but a plug to connect to. So the install kit will be needed to hookup the four {or just two depending on it's already installed options} speakers, the power, and ground. Plus the Antenna cable. They will all be color coded.
there is a fuse for the radio in the fuse box, if your power was ripped out , find the radio fuse and make a new conection from there
ground can be made conecting to any metalic part of the car
I'm not a stereo person, I'm a wire chaser. I looked at wiring for your sound system w/o amplifier in database. Did you check radio fuse for voltage, use a test light, hot all the time. The radio also has to have ground, ground wires are usually black. Did the after market radio come with instructions? Some radios have an anti-theft lock out, if that is the problem I can't help you. Your radio manufacturer may have a web site where you can ask questions? Just to add, the12volt.com has installer info. It's interesting.
This may not help as I don't know what color it is, but along with your Power - Accessory wires theres a couple more wires that needs to be hooked to power for the above accessories to work, so I suggest if you havent done so already to hook those wires up and endcap them. You can check which ones are power wires by using a voltometer on them. I had your similar problem and my soultion fixed it.
