How to reset immobilizer without key. My door locks were changed by previous owner and it works great in ignition but not door locks. Can I replace dead battery and the immobilizer relay?

The door locks are electronically operated by the key fob communicating to the ECM or BCM. The Immobilizer works by the transponder in the key communicating to the receiver near the ignition lock, and communicating to the ECM to allow all the items needed to start the vehicle.

It sounds like you just need an auto-electrician or the dealership to reprogram everything.

CL220, fob wont open doors I can't get in the car, does this mean the battery is flat?

battery may be flat in the fob or the vehicle has forgotten the code for the fob. and will need resetting. change the battery use the key to open the door put key in the ignition. ( fob Ir old type leave fob off the key) turn to number 2 and press fob till doors lock and unlock. then its reset. dont be worried if the alarm goes off while doing this it will go off when the code is restored. if you have 2 fobs you will need to rest that one to.

Changed batteries, remote still not working.

The remote keyless entry needs to be reset when the battery is changed, and the key pad must be reprogrammed if you need a new code.
here ya go..

Sit in the driver's seat of your Ford 500.

Insert the key in the ignition and turn it from "Off" to "Run" eight times within 10 seconds. The final turn should have the key in the "Run" position. You will hear the door locks engage; this means it is in programming mode.

Press any button on the remote; the door locks will engage again to confirm the programming. This must be done within 20 seconds of entering the programming mode.

Press any button on the second remote; the door locks will engage again to confirm the programming. This must be done within 20 seconds of entering the programming mode.

Turn the key to the "Off" position to complete the programming. The door locks will engage again confirming that programming is complete.

Keypad

Decide on a series of five digits to be your personal code. Your code needs to be an easily remembered series or numbers.

Locate the keypad on the driver's door; it will be directly above the driver's door handle.

Press the buttons that correspond with the factory remote keyless entry (RKE) code. This code can be obtained from the dealership if it has been lost.

Activate the programming mode by pressing the "1'2" button within 5 seconds of entering the RKE code.

Delete the old code by pressing and holding the "1'2" button for two seconds.

Enter the new five-digit code that you created in Step 1. This must be done within five seconds of deleting the old code. The door locks will cycle when the new code is confirmed.
hope this helps you.
Hope this helps

Do not leave key in ignition while doing this! First get the hood open and disconnect the battery from positive side. All doors closed lock or unlocked dosen't matter. Wait about 2-3 min.carefully reconnect the positive cable and tighten, car should go into combination of locking modes.Next your key push one time lock and hold unlock for 2-3 seconds or push the unlock twice.Locks should function properly lock to unlock and reversed.Normaly this resets all electronics to ECU.

How do i reset my key pad on the drivers door on a 1998 ford explorer?

Do you have the code (sequence of numbers) for the lock? If not, you will not be able to change the lock code on the keypad without assistance from the Ford dealership. If you do then the owners manual gives step by step instructions. If you need an owners manual I can help with those instructions. Some vehicles have a card tucked up under the dash with the "code" for the locks from when the vehicle was first sold. I would look for that if you don't have the lock code.
