You must check the spark plugs gap and also the spark plug wires or coil on plug boots for cracks if all well look at the vacuum lines if ok the idle air control valve maybe very old or a dead spot in the throttle position sensor you must be in another country I'm in the USA and don't have a listing for a laser so I'm trying to guess what the ignition system is that's why I mentioned both above out of gap plugs is the first check here then go further good luck stephen
Spark plugs won't cause this kind of problem. It sounds more like the oxygen sensor in the air intake is faulty. You may be lucky by just cleaning the connector from the sensor or cleaning the sensor itself. It may be contaminated with dust etc. Otherwise it will mean a new sensor. Very simply, the oxygen sensor tells the EFI system the best air/fuel ratio to set at different throttle settings.
Look in the middle of the engine and you will see a plastic air box. Fastened to this will be the valve, a small cylinder with a wire connected to it, should be held on by 2 bolts
Undo the bolts and remove the valve. Spray WD40 into the two holes until it runs clear then rinse with petrol and let it dry.
check all of the vaccum lines and check for leak at the fuel injection unit and for leaks at the intake manifold also make sure the spark plugs are at the right gap and change the fuel filter and here is a couple of website to checout www.autozone.com and www.alldatadiy.com and i forgot one www.taurusclub.com and i hope i have been some help to you Michigan Man.
