Find the small air conditioner relay and replace it. They are available at any auto store and may cost perhaps $15. The switches on the dash could also be not making contact but I doubt it. You may have to get a manual to locate where the relay is located on your vehicle.

I have an 03 Chev malibu. I just put a new battery in it. She won't start without a boost.runs fine afterwards.if I let her sit for a bit I will need a boost again..please help

New battery could be faulty or alternator not working.
If nothing happens when you turn the key,to check battery to determine its state of charge. Many starters won't do a thing unless there is at least 10 volts available from the battery. A low battery does not necessarily mean the battery is the problem, though. The battery may have been run down by prolonged cranking while trying to start the engine. Or, the battery's low state of charge may be the result of a charging system problem. Either way, the battery needs to be recharged and tested. If the battery is low, the next logical step might be to try starting the engine with another battery or a charger. If the engine cranks normally and roars to life, you can assume the problem was a dead battery, or a charging problem that allowed the battery to run down. If the battery accepts a charge and tests okay, checking the output of the charging system should help you identify any problems there.

Battery is DEAD on 2003 Ford Escape! Door key (using an actual key) unlock is also motorized, which needs battery juice. I can't get into this car! I thought about putting jumper cables on the sta

Open the door manually with the key!

Many Ford Escapes have power door locks as standard equipment. This system consists of a lock switch, lock actuator and wiring harness. When you depress the lock switch, it sends an electronic signal through the harness to the actuator. The actuator moves an internal piston that either pulls the actuator hook down or pushes it up. The actuator hook connects to the lock rod, which either locks or unlocks the door, depending on which way you push the lock button. While this system won't work with a dead battery, the mechanical lock system remains unaffected by electrical power loss.

Insert the door lock key into the driver's door lock.
Turn the key counterclockwise one quarter turn.
Pull the door handle up until the Escape's door opens. Once the driver door is open, simply open the remaining doors by pulling the interior door handles until the doors open.

My will not start unless i get a boost but the power still works without it being boosted, i.e. lights, alarm, radio, windows etc, what can the problem be

Change the battery, your battery gone bad, and isn't fully recharging itself, and isn't havn't the min cranking amp require by your car to startup the engine, however there still enought charge in there only to power windows, radio etc. When starting a engine, you need at least a min cranking amp, and requires more when it's cold outside.

In my 03 mercedes e320 wagon the sunroof opens only half way when auto open is used. Is this normal?

No. Push the open switch until glass is fully open....continue to hold switch for 5 seconds to allow motor to memorize open position...ditto closing.

This also applies to your side windows. Any time battery disconnected or voltage drops below 10.5 volts all convenience memories need resetting like this.

Hold window switch down fully for 5 seconds after glass has gone fully down. .....release switch

Repeat for other windows. Switch must be in second detent position when doing this.

NEVER boost charge this vehicles battery in the car unless GROUND connector disconnected from battery...serious electrical damage can occur if this is not done.
