Hello mwisterman11: I can help with your answer. GM does not use a inertia switch like Ford does. The fuel pump is controlled by a 20 amp fuel pump fuse, a fuel pump relay and the PCM. Look under the hood for the fuse box. Locate the fuse marked f/p-injr.This will be a yellow 20 amp.fuse. If it is ok locate the fuel pump relay in the same panel. Other then these two the fuel pump is controlled by the computer. If you crack a fuel line and turn the key on you should see fuel movement. Be sure to put a rag around the line to soak up the fuel. This will be a fire hazard.

2013 hyundai elantra wont start after its been in an accident. The engine cranks ND THE IMMOBILIZER LIGHT IS ON ON THE DASH

Hi dianne
I am not sure if your Hyundai is equipped with fuel safety switch witch will stop the fuel pump in case of an accident,
still worth to have a look at the engine bay near the balk, left and right sides, and inside the car on the A pillars, left and right.
it is a black box with red button at the top, you have to press on the red top in order to reset it

Reset fuel shut

You sound like you had an accident recently & the fuel to the fuel-injector has a shut off safety switch that was activated. The button is in your trunk of the car. This much I know it happened to mine.

I got in an accident and now the car won't start. is there a fuel safety reset switch somewhere?

Ok neither one have you have owned a fiero, there is no fuse box under either hood, and the ecm is in the center console! The fuel pump is run by the ecm and the fuel pressure switch to check the fuel pump apply 12 volts to the aldl connector inside your center console. all you have to do is take the little black cover off of the console where the cigar lighter is at. There are only 4 wires its the one that is farthest away from all the others. If you hear the fuel pump turn on then the fuel pressure switch is probably the culprit. I would get some schematics and check wires though. Odds are since it was in an accident there are probably some screwed up wires.

Intetia switch for a 1989 pontiac grand prix

Only Ford Products have a Fuel Safety Shut Off Switch

You would be in a very bad accident if one of those
switches opened & wouldn't need to worry about
using the vehicle.

Don't get in the habit of misunderstanding all you hear
& read,always familiarize yourself with your product
car,etc & do some testing,then ask a question with
some detail
