Hi........
On your LS.
The CODE P1406,
IS Mean: Differential Pressure Feedback egr. problem.

Ok.. Is just the definition for your code.
The DPFEGR.. is a Little BOX. Black Colour.

Is Normally connected to the EGR tube coming from the EXUAST MANIFOLD. with 2 small hoses.
Inspect the Hoses for broken, burn or stuck with carbon.
if you DON'T found nothing wrong.
Replace the DPFEGR. You van get from DEALER.
DON'T get from autoparts because they only offer one

SOURCE: Lincoln LS 2003

my etc light came on and i took to the lincoln dealer it was my fuel system and it had to be replaced for the tune of 800 dollars. after that it ran fine for about a month then i hit a hump then it went into etc mode again. i then took it back to lincoln they did not see a code or that it even went into etc mode because i cut the car off and turned it back on it ran fine but once you cut it off it resets itself it did this about 10 more times and never came back on again knock on woods no problems but it started missing and the check engine light came on it was a misfire in cylinder 4 and it replaced the spark plug myself and it has ran find ever since. I was told anytime the etc light comes on it due to fuel or transmission

These cars are famous for leaky seals where the valve cover interfaces with the cylinder head, at the spark plug journals. They fill with oil, short the coils and cause a misfire. Driving it any significant distance can destroy your catalytic converters ad unburnt fuel ignites therein, creating inferno-like conditions and a fire hazard too. You'll get a "300 code", such as 301 if cylinder 1 is misfiring, 302 for # 2, etc. Pull the coil off the spark plug for that cylinder and if it is moist at all, that's your issue. Have new seals put in, or you'll just keep blowing coils at $50 a whack.

SOURCE: airbag light flashes 3 then 6 times on my 2001

The on-board computer is giving you a trouble code for the center belt tensioner in the rear seat. This chould not be a safety issue if the belt is functioning. You may be able to clear the code if you pull the center belt out completely a couple of times as the code may be setting for reasons where a little excercise of the belt mechanism may remedy.

2009 Lincoln town car lots of codes

The P07** relate to transmission issues, the rest fuel/air mixture.
From what you have done so far, I recomend you take it to a garage for professional service.
If you replaced the O2 sensors with aftermarket ones, that is the first thing I would suspect.

My 2000 F150 just passed emmsion 2 weeks ago let my son drive it started to run bad cheek engine lite came on codes were P0743,P0755,P1747,P0443,P1451,P0135,P0141,P0155,P0161and P1409?Help

with that many fault codes each one with an ECM as a possible cause , I suggest that you check items like battery voltage and charge rate, ground wires and terminals , harness connections at the ECM for water and corrosion
or substitute the ECM with a know serviceable unit to see if the fault codes come back

I had all these codes come up and i dont know what they mean. Dont think its good. P1747,P0743,P0750,.P0755 ,P0760, P0765 P1451,P0133, P0135, P0141. P0153, P0155,P0161, P1409, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0171....

looks like most of you trouble is the "oxygen sensor". it in the exhaust pipe, about $25 PLUS. Changing it may very well help most of your other code problems, I would start there, it is a simple fix, you then need to clear all codes and see what comes up after replacement. You may come out very lucky.
P01747 is transmission pressure control solenoid P01451Lack of Response From Passive Anti-Theft System Module - Engine Disabled P0743Torque Converter Clutch System Electrical failure.
Do the Oxygen Sensor first as go from there.
Good luck

My Mercury Sable 2000 will not shift farther than second gear. I have a list of error codes, but do not know where to start. Someone advised that it may just be a fuse. Any feedback would be greatly...

The car's computer has put it in "limp mode", which is a function that will allow you to drive the vehicle home or to be repaired. My advice is to take it to a transmission shop and have it tested before you do more costly harm.

I don't have access to my manuals right now, but do this - google "Ford DTC code P0102" and see what comes up. Then do other codes same way. You will be sure to gert ideas, especially if it is a help site. I'll check back & see how you are doing.
