2005 Ford E250 has dual glass side mirrors. Bottom potion of both mirrors is so loose they just point to the ground. I replaced them the first time for same reason and bought them from my Ford dealer. Is there a repair that can be done or a better quality replacement out there. They all look like the same design.

SOURCE: Replace passenger side power mirror clearance lamp (bulb only).

If you are facing the passenger side mirror adjust the top (large) mirror so that it is turning in towards the truck as far as it will go. Then look behind the mirror in the bottom righthand corner (outside bottom corner) and you will see a silver metal clip. Take a straight head screw driver and push on that clip and the lens will pop out. Then you simply unscrew the bulb holder from the lens and replace your bulb. Good luck!

SOURCE: how to replace the light bulb on exterior mirror 2003 ford expedition

The one with the turnsignal intergrated into it?

If so.....

Push the Mirror FORWARD, up close to the pivot poit there is a small torx head screw - unscrew that.
At the tapered end carefully pull/pry down. That end has a small metal spring clip that holds it up, be careful with it, if it snaps, you can NOT by a new one...

SOURCE: 2008 Ford Fusion Wing Mirror Replacement

I checked Ford Focus mirror replacement and it seems to be the same. This is for the manual, unheated mirror.

Remove the mirror cover inside the door - slide a screwdriver behind the cover and pry loose carefully.

Remove the single 10mm bolt and the mirror comes free.
NB. Do not drop the bolt into the door.

SOURCE: Replace Passenger Side Mirror on 2002 Ford F-150

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door

How to replace outside side power mirrors in original housing? 2008 Ford Edge

Google replacement mirror glass for Ford Edge 08.

They make a replacement mirror glass available that uses double sticky tape. This has worked great for me. The heated function still continued to work!! In my case I replaced a scratched mirror leaving the old mirror in place. If yours is broken included is a link for a procedure to replace a broken mirror.

Confirm the dimensions before purchasing. Some car manufactures have more than one design for different model cars same year..

I have a 2003 volkswagen jetta. i need to remove the glass on the front drivers side and front passenger side doors and replace it with new glass.after i remove the door panel how do i do this?

The panels have 3 t20 torx screws on the bottom and one philips head near the mirror. Under pull handles there are 3 philips on the drivers and 2 philips on the passengers sides. Pull the panels from the bottom and lift the panels up. There are 2 black rubber plugs in each door, pop each plug out and the glass is held in place to the clips on each side with either a 10 mm bolt or t30 torx bolt. Move the glass to the point where you can see the bolts, loosen, but don't remove the bolts. Once loose, you can pull the glass loose. Once loose, lower the window a bit, angle the rear of the glass up and pull it out. The glass may be epoxied in place, as VW had a problem with windows coming loose. If so, try to pop the rubber in the clamp loose (above the bolts you see through the holes) and reinstall it with the window removed.

I have hyundai tucson 2005. My wife broke passenger side mirror. Please provide instructions on how to replace the mirror? thanks,

first obtain a replacement .the cover with tape to prevent shattering the glass then carefully prise of the glass with a screwdriver refitting should be just a case of cleaning any glass away and removing adhesive tape and refitting the glass the heating element is part of the housing and the heat should just transfer through the glass ..not a hard job ..just tricky and time consuming ..if the housing has been damaged .then its a bit more difficult ..first obtain a replacement and then remove the door card then the fixings should be visible remove them and the mirror housing should come loose remove any wiring from the loom then fix the new unit connect any wiring then refit the fixing screws and then replace the door card ..again not the most technical but of work but time taken will show in the end result ..dont loose you temper as it is a bit fiddly ..if in doubt get halford to do it for you or any other similar garage

How to I replace an electric drivers side mirror on a Ford Focus

Go to a breakers yard or ford, you will have to unscrew & pull off the interior cap on the insde to udo the mirror whole unit & pop the glass out of the old unit by pulling carefully, then disconnect the motor & wiring, then re-fit as dismantled.
Hope this helps, If you can't do it yourself then buy the mirror & take it to a decent garage as they are not hard to replace & the dealership will charge twice as much !

I just now did mine! Remove the little door behind the door handle and remove these two screws. Remove the two screws at the bottom. Pop the pad off were the window switch is and there is a screw there too. remove the speaker in the door. there is a piece of rubber there to remove also. Pop the two round things out that you screw the speakers to at the bottom. Then lift the door panel straight up. Be gentle and don't break the tabs off> good luck

Side mirror inside glass hanging ford explorer

it depends on whats 'hanging', if JUST the mirror glass has come off it's plastic backing plate, then yes you can silicone it back into place. If the mirror glass AND the plastic backing plate are hanging, you can try to 'snap' the backing plate back into the mirror head but most likely something inside is broken and the mirror head will have to be replaced. for a better idea on reinstalling or replacing a mirror see: www.burcinc.com and for aftermarket replacement mirror heads see: www.directauto.com
hope this helps.
