There are several no cost things you can look at for starting the engine;
) Is an anti-thief system killing the system ?
) Try giving the solenoid on the starter a few sharp hits. Sometime the solenoid sticks. If this works you would still have to replace the starter. It will only work a few times.
) neutral safety switch - This switch on the transmission prevents starting in gear. Try PARK or NEUTRAL.
) starter relay - this is the relay to transfer power to the starter. When you turn the ignition it clicks on to transfer power to the starter. I think it may be located under the hood.
) fusible link - This is essentially a fuse that limits the maximum current to protect the circuit. Believe to be under the hood. They can get corroded or burn out. Your lights will work but the starter will not.
I believe it will be one of above but of course as suggested you can take it to a repair shop.

No the engine, I was driving the truck when I realized the tac and speed-O weren't working.
I've been looking for the fusible links, dI pulled all my fuses and they all check out ok.
My headlights work and taillights, all my lights work except for my dummy lights on my dash.
I had the battery tested and found a week cell It was week not dead. So I replaced the battery.
No the truck was still run and it seem to be runnig just fine. I pulled over and shut the engine off. I'm hoping it's a fusable link but I haven't been able to find one or a relay. My biggest fear is it is one of the on board computer (pcm or diagnosis/sensor unit)
Look it is doubtful this serious electrical issue can be resolved over this keyboard, suggest u contact the dealer.
Did you check the fuses/fusible links?
Do the headlights work?
Did you test the battery voltages?
Do the brake and tail lights work ?
the engine cut off with the speedo and tach?
