We just replaced the fuel pump on our suburban after it died while driving down the road. It cranks but won't turn over, checked the throttle body, no gas pumping in. Replaced the relay, still no luck. We are getting power to the relay, but nothing to the fuel pump itself. Bad relay switch? I have a 05 suburban that has 75 k miles on it. It started in 09 dec. driving it would spudder and then die. sometimes it starts right up. other times it takes a few crank overs. I changed the fuel filter and plug / wires. This happen out of no-where. I also don't have the speed pick-up. I hit the throttle and it bogs down and either slows down or stalls in slow motion. Last time the low fuel light came on when it stalled driving down the road. Also the car will not start with under a 1/4 tank. i have filled it and there fuel in it measuring the amount of fuel I put in. HELP
Check fuel flter at fuel pick-up intank (looks like a small wire sock). Remove fuel filter and fitting at fuel rail. Blow out fuel lines w/about 35lbs air press. Ck electrical @ relay - should be 4 connectors - one is key on hot/one is always hot/one is ground and last is hot to fuel pump. Good Luck
