How are you planning on adjusting the ignition timing? With computer programing or moving the cranksensor. You should be o.k as long as you don't get spark knock. Are you checking this with a timing light or a scanner?
You can go fairly high 30 degrees at 6000 isn't that much I'll bet you can go another 10 degrees. Do you have any problems with warm starts or spark knock?

Have you tried any performance ford web sites? It is not uncommon to see engines with 40-45 degrees of total advance. But, how far you can push it, I don't know.

with computer programing.. i data log each run.. each time i advance, so far, it increases hp.. at 6000 rpm it hits 30 deg.. not sure how much more to push it??
no, so far warm starts are fine and haven't had any spark knock yet that i'm aware of.. also am running 2 heat range colder spark plugs.. aem cai... 24 lb injectors.. 75mm tb.. c&l plenum.. headers.. fuel is dialed in right at 12.8 across the board at wot.. any leaner or richer drops hp.. i was gonna keep advancing timing until hp started didn't increase anymore.. just dont want to overdo it..
i appreciate your help on this.. i'll try some performace websites.. just don't want to blow it up.. LOL.. thank you again..
