Not starting quickly and engine dies occasionally

Still starts quiet quickly but not as quick as it used to. did not used to have to press fuel pedal. Engine occasionally kills at an intersection when stopped for a light. Is this the injectors, or possibly the fuel pump? Or something else?

SOURCE: Engine cuts off in traffic when car slows.

Sounds like it could be an ignition module breaking down.

SOURCE: dodge cummins won't start, fuel reaching injector pump but no fuel coming out of injector pump.

You said you have fuel flowing from the inlet line of the injection pump? But not at the injector lines?

The "wait to start" light is your glow plugs. You must have a loose connection to them or something not connecting. They come on almost everytime you start them, hot or cold.

1998 Ford Explorer Ltd - V-8 5.0L - will not start - hard starting yesterday when it would start but not increase RPM then died. Now will not start at all. Spark is good

Start by checking for fuel pressure and fuel delivery to the injectors, you can quickly check this by spraying starting fluid into the air intake of the engine, if it starts and dies the engine is not getting fuel.

Engine cranks fine, but will only run 5-6 sec then dies. If you press the gas, it sputters and dies immediately.

Seems like a fuel delivery problem.
May be a bad fuel pump, clogged fuel filter or a fuel line problem.

What car make/model? What engine?

When it dies, try to turn ignition off immediately, wait a couple of seconds and turn the key quickly to the crank position (don't wait with the key in ignition-on position so that the fuel pump doesn't try to pump fuel into the fuel lines).
If it hesitates to start or runs significantly shorter before dying, you have pinpointed a problem with the fuel system.

Pls let me know what you find out.

Maybe something wrong with inertia switch? Part of diagram so you can see inertia switch wire colors. How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes? Also, use a gage check proper fuel pressure, my info says 35--45 psi. I've seen fuel pumps that would run, but wouldn't make proper fuel pressure. I'm not saying the fuel pump has a problem, at the moment, I don't know?

CAR WONT RUN. THIS IS TRICKY.

Do the basics, you are loosing fuel or spark. When it dies, you need to quickly install a spark tester on one of your plug wires to see if you have spark while turning over engine, while it still won't start.
