2003 lincoln ls the abs light is on also the tire

The traction control works off the ABS system You will need a scan tool capable of reading ABS codes before you can further diagnose the problem If you are able to retrive the abs codes searrch on the internet for the trouble code Many times it is a wheel sensor or bad connection on the sensors .

Have you changed anything recently? This is related to the ABS module and PCM mismatching. Have you replaced a tire recently or rims or brakes? If you have different sized tires on the front than you do on the rear it will throw this code, causing the ABS light to come on

It's either:

1. Out of alignment or
2. Front tires are not properly balanced.

Either way you should have it repaired by a mechanic soon. Your destroying your tires and can cause front end damage.
HINT: Have the tires Dynamic balanced, not Static balanced. It cost a few dollars extra, but saves you twice as much in reduced tire wear.

if your abs light is on then there is a prooblem with the system, on your lincoln it is most likely a wheel sensor and not the abs box, go to your local auto zone and they will pull the code for free and tell u what is wrong with the system

it might be a loose abs cable behind one of the brakes?

ABS and traction control really are only for panic stops and if your tires slip on wet surface's and yes each tire has a sensor on it. However if the brake light comes on this has nothing to do with the ABS or traction control lights. It's not a parking brake light. This light tells you, you have a serious brake problem.
