A code P0102 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
The MAF may be disconnected, or a wiring connection may be bad
The MAF may be dirty or otherwise contaminated (Note: if you use a reusable oiled air filter, be careful not to apply too much oil or that can contaminate the MAF).
The MAF Sensor may be faulty
The vehicle computer may be faulty (very rare)
The simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back. Then start with the cheapest, easiest repair procedures:
Verify that the Mass Air Flow Sensor wiring is connected properly and that there are no broken / frayed wires.
Inspect for any air leaks near the MAF sensor.
Take the MAF out and clean it using a spray cleaner such as brake cleaner or electrical contact cleaner. Be gentle with the sensor.
Check the voltage of the MAF sensor (refer to a repair manual for vehicle specific information)
Replace the MAF sensor.
Good luck and hope this helps. You can try pulling the fuse to the ECM with the ignition key in the on position and then placing it back in after a few seconds.
Then start the car, it may stall but let it and just start it over again. The ECM is just learning the engine and transmission again, making adjustments like it's the first start up during manufacturing and go for a test drive.
The heated circuit in the oxygen sensor decreases time needed to enter closed loop. As the O2 heater reaches operating temperature, the oxygen sensor responds by switching according to oxygen content of the exhaust surrounding it.Â
The ECM tracks how long it takes for the oxygen sensor to begin switching. It the ECM determines (based on coolant temp) that too much time elapsed before the oxygen sensor began operating properly, it will set P0135.
A code P0135 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
-O2 Heater element resistance is high
-Internal short or open in the heater element
-O2 heater circuit wiring high resistance
-open or short to ground in the wiring harness
Things to do:
-Repair short or open or high resistance in wiring harness or harness connectors
-Replace oxygen sensor (cannot repair open or short that occurs internally to sensor)
Bank 1 is the same side where the number 1 cylinder is, and you can find the O2 sensor along the exhaust down pipe.

Take a close look at the wires to the oxygen sensors, and make sure none are touching or close to the manifolds or exhaust, or have been, and may have a burnt spot on them.Don't forget, if they are not touching now, they may be when going down the road at highway speeds so make sure that can't happen either. It's a pretty common reason for that fuse to blow, because of oxygen sensor wires touching manifold or exhaust pipes.

Car has also thrown pending codes P0135 which is O2 sensor bank one sensor one heater. Can not locate this where is it?
when the soild code P0102 MAF sensor circit low output first started, we checked the air filter and replaced it. At that time we found oil residue in the air tube. so we cleaned it as well as the throdle body. We then replaced the MAF conector and wiring harness and MAF sensor. We also replaced PCV and did an oil change. We replaced the MAF sensor twice since it threw the code. We have also replaced the EGR valve recently.Something is making it blow the fuse and the fuse is a 20amp.The MAF has been tested and it has 5 volts ,the proper voltage.Why am I blowing a fuse and getting this code?????
It blows the fuse intermentitly not every time I start it. When I replace the fuse and clear the code, it starts up fine and drives fine. Then within a couple of drives the code comes back and we find the fuse is blown.
We have checked all wires on the car and nothing is frayed, broken, diconnected, or burned.I have followed the cars repair manual wiring diagrams and thats when I had found the pink wire that was conected to the MAF and the oxygen sensors and followed it to the fuse box and thats where I found a blown fuse. Also the car hasnt thrown the oxygen sensor code but twice as a pending code. And I have gotten the P0102 code a least 10 or more times. Sometimes it throws that code twice, once as a soild and one as a pending. After looking under the car several times I am finding no signs of any apparent problem or anything broken. The only thing that I can think of is that the tail end of my car got hit in a parking garage one day prior to having these problems. Nothing was busted, just the bumper was scrached real bad and paint from the other car was left on it. I was in the car when it happened, and the inpact was strong but surpizing there didnt seemto be any damage. It was hit on the drivers side bumper on the conner. The Van that hit me couldnt have been going more than 10 miles an hour as to this was in a parking garage and it was turning a conner. Could this have caused a problem I am not seeing. Could something be shaken out of place or broken that I cant see??What could it be?????? Some one please help!!!!!
