I have a Mercedes 190E car starts and runs very well but in the midst of driving the car cuts off completely. I put it in park, wait a few minutes then I can drive again, until the next cut-off occurs. Please advise.

engine coolant temp sensor for engine control management out of range easy replacement its fitted in the cylinder head i think ? its a common fault hope this helps.
It could be the fuel pump overheating and seizing up but I doubt it , it would be completely dead by now. My guess would be ignition module or coil. they can become intermitent when they get heated up. You might have to have a mechanic look at it , that is often cheaper than trying yourself and changing out perfectly good parts.
Ok the knock is your flex discs on the drive shaft are bad along with the carrier bearing. Replace before you get stranded or it comes loose.
Fuel distributor may need work if it is hard to start when warm, Replace OVP relay by battery also, its always an issue.
hello,have you check your fuel filter for contamination? maybe ignition side (transistorized switching unit ,plug,rotor, high tension wire) or injection system (fuel pump motor, nozzle,fuel relay,excess voltage protection) one of this maybe the cause,ok what part do we start,ok, sop in workshop have fuel gauge to determine fuel injection,ok,if your engine is not starting,remove your spare plug,you can determine what is missing,fuel or ignition,then you can start to look the possible cause,hoping is not complicated,ty
You may have a loose connection under the fuse box, same thing happended to me in a Rover Viteses Another problem caused by hanging a bunch of keys on theignition lock causes the lock to wear and as the keys swing it cuts the ignition
