MY 99 XK8 CONVERTIBLE WINDOWS GO DOWN 1/4 '' EVERYTIME YOU OPN THE DOOR BUT NOT WILL GO UP AUTOMATICALLY,AS DESIGNED TO DO.HOWEVER THEY WILL GO UP IF YOU RAISE THEM WITH THE SWITCH INSIDE THE CAR,BOTH DOORS ARE DOING THE SAME THING.

It just needs resetting.Hold each window switch down until you hear a click at the top and then go down all the way and hold until it clicks at the bottom of its travel.A low battery will cause this sometimes or a  battery change.Tony/Hills Motors, San Mateo, CA

With the ignition on but not running, run the window down all the way. Keep holding the button for about 7 seconds, then run the window up all the way and do the same. Then turn off the ignition. This re-programs the proper up and down limits. It is suggested that loss of window programming is a precursor of a low battery causing the computer to lose its memory.

My 1999 convertible xk8 keeps loosing its memory to the windows and now the drivers one will not reach the top it just bounces and clicks

99 Jaguar XK8 amber light comes on indicating restricted engine performance. Engine runs rough. Will clear up after 15 minutes and run fine. happens about every 500 miles. Any suggestions
