The thermostat will be at the end of the top rad hose, under a cover where the hose is atatched to the engine.

My ac heater and defrost will not work at all in my 2005 Hyundai Tucson new blower motor and resister what else

Hi,

Please check the heater motor and also the thermostat. If those don't work, then this can also lead to your ac/heating system to malfunction as well.

Please use autozone to get a free diagnostic run on your car to get a list of errors. Then, they can tell you which errors are relevant to your ac/heating issue.

Thank you.

Trying to burp cooling system, but when car heats up the coolant shoots out of the radiator like a fountain.. Thermostat is removed, still heats up

You are correct in your suspicions.
The thermostat blocks flow thru the radiator to help the engine warm up. The coolant still flows thru the block with the thermostat closed. If you remove the thermostat the cooling system should flow thru the radiator and stay below 160 degrees if the air temp is below 90.
If the thermostat is out and the engine is getting hot at idle speed, either the water pump has failed, or there is another blockage in the engine block.

Diagram for pontiac montana 2000

You really don't say what diagram you want. The thermostat is located at the inlet to the engine of the upper radiator hose.

Engine Diagram 2007 kia sportage

With conventional cooling system, the upper radiator hose goes to thermostat housing on the engine. You drain antifreeze down, a little, remove radiator hose from thermostat housing, remove thermostat housing, the thermostat should be inside the housing.
Some antifreeze is poisonous, dispose of properly.
Install new thermostat, hook everything back up. Add proper amount of antifreeze to the proper mark. Keep an eye on antifreeze level for a while till your sure all air worked out of the system.

Looking for an assembly diagram for a thermostat for a 1999 for taurus 3.0 SOHC. Or assembly order of gasket, before the thermostat or after it? Also, could lack of heat in car be due to something other...

Thermostat and then gasket. As far as your heat problem goes I would guess heater core, maybe partial blockage. 90% of the time heater core is the problem with no heat. The other thing it might be, but only if the engine itself isnt getting all the way hot, would be your temperature sending unit. That controls when your thermostat opens and closes.

I need a diagram of a 99 sunfire radiator system. I have a hole in the pipe on mine under what I think is the pipe bleeder valve. I just need some diagrams so I can try to figure out if that is what it is...

You have air in the system and that prevents the thermostat from opening. Once leak issue is fixed you have to add antifreeze and squeeze the rad hoses repeatedly until the air is forced out. Run the engine up and down from 2 or 3000 RPM quickly to force air out, shut it down and refill when cold until it starts throwing heat you will still have an air lock.
