as said before, there is a ground leed that has a spade which is to be reinstalled in new dist cap. if this ground strap is not reinstalled you will not have spark.
If you pulled the fuse for the ignition you killed the coils and module. I assume you had the battery tested for a bad cell. There are fuseable links in the electrical system in addition to the fuses you can see. Everything has to be disconnected when testing for a power drain. It can be very difficult to find on today's vehicles.
3 things you need to do is replace the Ignition Modgule and the Fuel pump on the truck. for the elect. It is the ignition switch It is just normal ware
take plugs off one by one and number them with tape so you dont forget where they go or you could mess up your timing should be two or three screws holding the cap on take that off and the modgule should be right there in plain sit and easy to take out.
the ignition modgule may be breaking down when it gets hot mt caviler did same thing ,i replaced the modgule been fine ever since
#2 possiblity .. do u hear a hissing sound when u push the brake? is the peddal feeling normal?
no u cannot bypass the sensors 1 hot and 2 signal wires. test the sensors if u got no spark from any coil and the sensors are good replace the ignition controlle modgule... the coils are mounted on top of it
