Radio is dead

Check these two fuses. Fuse number 31 in fuse box location 4, if cigarette lighter, radio and clock. Else fuse number 5 in fuse box location 2, if only radio and clock and not cigarette lighter.

Change the fuse, if it still doesn't work then the circuit can be tested before spending the money on a new radio

why not say what works on radio.
stock radio?
park lamps ,dead , i bet not
all other lamps dead.(dials, etc)?
no sound only?
or tunes stations , i see it tune, scan works but sound is dead
post that, and the operators guide , shows where the RADIO fuse is
mostly in the cab fuse box.
inlines are aftermarket radios' not stock.

does it ask for CODE?
if yes ,the radio codes if not backed is a show stopper
dealer only fix. (big secret) or any certified, lock smith

The fuse you need to replace for your radio to work again is Fuse 15a, located on the left side of the steering wheel. There you will see a storage door, with a 15 a fuse marked cig. Replace it, and your clock and radio will be functional again.

There are 2 fuses linked to the clock; 1 is connected to the radio and the other to the gauges. If the radio and gauges work then the clock itself is dead, it is a very common issue with these clocks. I have a repair service, check out www.autoclockrepair.com. You will need to enter the anti theft radio lock code. I would check the manual for the operation. On my VW it was on a sticker in the truck. Also check with an Audi dealer for exact location.

get a test light and check all the fuses with the ignition in the on setting just before start,the fuses should light up the test light on both sides.if not a fuse is open.

most new BMW's the fuse block is located behind the glove box. There should be a pair of twist plastic fastners at the back of the glove box, twist and remove the plate and you should find the fuse box and fuse locater list.

do you have a owners manual? this will show the location and the purpose of each fuse and relay. the radio fuse should be red in color and be located in the fuse panel on the drivers side it is a 15 amp and is red in color... hope this helps you...please rate this thanks

look in the owners manual or on the removable cover to the fuse box under the dash of your car, it should have a guide telling you which one is for the radio. This fuse may also be under the hood in a fuse box there, depending on your model.

If no guide is found there then look in your owners manual and it will guide you were to go.
