Gear jerking I have chevy camaro z28 97 model with auto transmission. I have gear jerking during shifting between N, D, R. & during shifting from 1st to 2nd gear in driving. what is the solution?? by the way, I have replaced gear oil, filter, & gasket but prob still, & I have bad engine mounting & bad driveshift mounting & bad lower arms bushing.
Check your transmission and motor mounts. With hood open put car in reverse then while you look at motor, put it in drive, if you see motor move more than an inch it will be the mounts

It does sound like your clutch needs replacing. Adjusting the clutch may help but will not solve the problem. If the transmission has not been serviced for a long time it is a good idea to replace the transmission fluid, inspect the pressure plate. They may also start to wear.
Most likely the second gear section of the transmission has gone bad. There are 3 or 4 different gear sections or assemblies in an automatic transmission, when they go bad, they go bad.
What you need to check is the transmission release bearing because if there is a clearance on the release bearing you will encounter this problem and also check the transmission oil.
first of all you need to fix the motor mounts drive shaft hangers and the lower control arm bushings and if you still have a transmission problem . it is in the valve body in the transmission you need to bring it to a good transmission shopas this will be a major tranny overhaul
