Brand new alternater and batt.after i changed the alternater the car ran fine for a week then one morning the abs/ service traction light came on and a few minutes later the battery light came on. the car ran fine for a few days but the batt light would pop on right at start up and then after a few miles go off. finally a few days later i parked the car and it wouldnt start back up. dead batt. After car died i took the battery for testing and its fine. we fully charged it and put it back in. it got me home but died as i was pulling in driveway. please help
Try to check the battery voltage with the engine running. Should be at least 13.6V from the alternator to charge the battery enough.
You've had the misfortune of getting a bad rebuilt alternator-sorry-they should give you another one -I hope its not hard to replace-Denny

they bench tested the alternater and said it was fine... now what ??
try charging the battery over night so it will start-check the voltage before you start the car-it should be 12.5v-then start the car and it should go up to 13.5 to14.2 range-if its not doing this you've got something thats drain power off like a power amp or added on security system-if this isn't the case you should try to make it to a mechanic-sorry Denny

Not at all, this could be many different problems, from the coil pack to a sensor, take it to autozone and have them do a trouble code on it, it will tell them exactly what is going on.
