WHen you turn on the key, can you hear the fuel pump run for 5 seconds. The pump is in the fuel tank. listen there while someone turns the key on. report back.

Were is a fuel pump relay switch located on a 2000 Oldsmobile intrigued

Hey James , It's in the under hood fuse box , F/PMP relay an there is a fuse F/PMP 15 amp. Underhood Accessory Wiring Junction Block
Right side of the engine compartment, mounted to the strut tower

The PCM controls the fuel pump relay by supplying switched ignition voltage to the fuel pump relay coil. When the ignition switch is first turned On, the PCM energizes the fuel pump relay. The relay contacts close applying power to the fuel pump. The fuel pump relay will remain On as long as the engine is running or cranking and the PCM is receiving reference pulses. If no reference pulses are present, the PCM de-energizes the fuel pump relay within 2 seconds. With the engine stopped, the fuel pump can be turned On with a scan tool.
If the PCM detects a problem on the relay control circuit, DTC P0230 will set. Use this table if DTC P0230 is not set and a problem exists with the fuel pump!

My 2000 Lincoln Continental runs fine when it is cold, but after it warms up and I am driving between 20 & about 50 MPH the engion cuts out - the whole car shakes while trying to maintain a speed or...

I think it might be a fuel delivery problem.I would check the fuel pressure and make sure its within the specs for that engine. Its sounds like it could be a weak fuel pump. When ever the engine does'nt get enough fuel to mix with the air then it causes a lean condition which will make it misfire. If it was an ignition problem it would misfire whether it was cold or hot.

I bought a new feul pump and ecu for my 98 lincoln continental i

Check to see if its getting spark by slightly removing a plug wire.  And see if you can see fuel pumping inside the carb as you pump the linkage.  Also try poringing a little fuel inside the carb with the air filter removed.  If it starts it's the fuel system if it doesn't it's the ignition system.
