check transmission fluid level fill to full if low..then if its contaminated you need a fluid and filter changeout.. if still bad..need a rebuild..

Check your shifting mechanism into the transfer box and the transfer box gears for stripping.

Check fluid level with car level and idling. Level must not be to low or overfilled. These conditions could cause slipping and slow engagement. If fluid level is ok. Have fluid and filter changed. Correct type of fluid is vital for longest life. If problem still exists have a trans shop road test and diagnose issue. Trans repairs will not be a favorite item . Good luck

if refrigerating system low in presure(low refrigerator level)presure sensor wil not send signal to engage clutch...the second think if system under normal pressure check electrical connectors if they ok,a/c compressor is faulty.

I have the same truck.
With the jumper wire in the service plug, the timing should be at 5 degrees.

i would check the vacume lines at the wheel

a gear is broke inside of the transfer case

it could be the chain in hte transfer case that runs from the input to the 4wd is loose and could be skipping over ur gears on the inside i know because mine did the same thing
