This is a hub and bearing assy. You will need to remove the axle nut, brake rotor, caliper assy. There are 3 or 4 bolts that attach the hub assy to the knuckle assy. Most of the time, the hub assy will come out easy and sometime it comes out very hard. Make sure you torque the axle nut to the proper spec, so the bering will not fall apart and will last. Buy a quality hub and bearing assy, so you dont have to do it again.

Right Front Wheel Bearing

sometimes knucke bearings have different sizes, like one side has 4.5, then the other side is 4.6. just make sure that the components are alligned well and if in case a rubber hammer is available, do use it, just apply more grease on the bearing hub, then try to use the rubber hammer to punch the bearing back. please refer to the picture below for the assembly4bb4e51.jpg

2007 toyota tacoma replace front wheel bearing prerunner

The other guys have never taken the wheel bearings out of a 2007 Tacoma! Remove the tire (duh)
Remove the 12mm bolt holding the brake line securing bracket
Un-clip the air sensor hose clip
Remove the two 17mm bolts holding the brake assembly on the back side
Remove the rotor from the wheel "spindle"- slides right off.
Unscrew the four metric bolts (maybe 17mm) holding the wheel housing to its mount (they cannot be removed from the assembly yet, see below).
That's right there is no normal wheel spindle with a big nut on the end of a threaded shaft in the middle!
The wheel mounting plate (with the 6 studs) is pressed into the bearing housing.
Get a replacement bearing assembly and take it and your old unit to a machine shop (unless you have a good press).
An easy job, just expensive- $140 for the bearing assembly.

I have a 2004 corolla that has a humming noise in the front when turning to the right.replaced the right front wheel bearing and noise still there.any ideas?

It's most likely the left wheel bearing that's causing the noise, when turning to the right the weight of the car shifts to the left placing more load on the left wheel bearing and takes load off the right bearing.

I have a loud humming sound coming from what sounds like the front right wheel. I jacked it up and checked the wheel for play. and there is no movement. but the humming is getting worse. its not the...

Unfortunately you do not always get "play" in the bearing and they are unserviceable. Replace the entire unit. Here are the instructions for replacement. They bolt into place making it pretty easy to do. Soak the CV shaft which pertrudes from the hub where the nut goes with a good rust penetrant to ease in removal.

Removal & Installation

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2. Remove or disconnect the following:

Front wheel Wheel Speed Sensor (WSS) electrical connector Brake caliper and bracket Rotor Driveshaft nut
  3. Install a front hub removal tool to the wheel bearing/hub assembly with three wheel nuts. Use the tool to push the driveshaft out of the wheel bearing/hub.
  4. Remove the wheel bearing/hub assembly and discard the bolts.

To install:
  1. Install or connect the following:

Wheel bearing/hub assembly using new bolts and torque them to 96 ft. lbs. (130 Nm) New drive shaft nut and torque it to 118 ft. lbs. (160 Nm) Brake rotor Front caliper with the bracket WSS electrical connector Front wheel

Noise in front end, sounds like wheel bearings, 110,000 miles, rear end axles and bearings replaced, sounds still present, louder when making left turn when weight of vehicle shifts to front end right side

You say the rear wheel axles and bearings have been replaced, you mention nothing of the front wheels, you have the symptoms of a front wheel bearing being worn out, remove them and check for pitting in the bearing rollers or the bearing races, I am sure you will find a problem. Hope this helps solve your issue with the bearing noise.
