Buzzing sound coming from engine compartment of 2002 Yukon
I have a buzzing noise coming from the engine compartment of my 2002 Yukon. Two GMC mechanics are stumpped. it will buzz with the radio off, gets louder when RPM's increased. Had the stereo system checked, no problem. It is not coming out of the sensor above my head. The mechanics have checked electrical, gaskets etc., no answer.

yes sorry to say with out hearing the sound my self it could be 6 one way half dozen the other but try a flush and see if that stops the buzz and over heating should be around 100 to flush or it also now could be low on atf try a top off first ( be sure not to over fill)
Fuel pressure test.. make sure there is pressure coming from your pump.. you will need a gauge a shop can do it for you.. Also when you put your key in on position listen for priming of a fuel pump. It should be for 2 or 3 seconds. if you hear that kinda buzzing noise your fuel pump is working so that is not the problem which rules out a big cost.
That "speaker looking thing" above the drivers head on the headliner is a part of the climate control system.
Here is the GM bulletin regarding it if you are running in to these issue:

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.
Condition/Concern: Dealer or customer may comment that they have a buzz or vibration noise emanating from the headliner in an area that looks like microphone or a speaker.
Recommendation/Instructions: The plastic escutcheon grill, which is round and about the size of a half dollar and located just above the driver to the left, is the interior ambient temperature sensor. The sensor is used in conjunction with the automatic HVAC (C68). On occasions, this sensor has been known to make a buzz or rattle sound. The sensor uses a small fan to pull air over the sensor. This buzz noise may be intermittent.
Although it may not be possible to alleviate all of the buzz or noise from this sensor, Engineering has found that if the sensor is installed incorrectly that it may bind and cause the fan to make a buzz noise. Remove the sensor and while doing so check for any binding. Reinstall the sensor and re-test. If the noise is still present, the sensor itself may be noisy and require replacement.
that is most likely your abs control module locate your 60 amp abs fuse under the hood and remove it if the noise stops you need to replace your control module
