High beam not working - Silverado 2500HD Chevrolet Cars & Trucks

If your high beams work and your low beams do not work... try changing the light bulbs first. The low beams can burn out and the high beams still work.

No low beam ,but have 12v at socket and when flicking to high beam i lose this 12 volts but get 12 volts to high beam socket and the high beam works. i dont know why low beam is not working and yet there...

Check for bad ground for low beam and bulb.

Also, check that the high beam works independently of the low beam for that mode.

the high beam switch is at fault
A new one is needed
The directional lever you pull up on to switch to high and low connects to a rod which is going to the high beam switch at the mid section of the steering coluum. It is a headache to change for your on your head replacing this part

I have a 1999 ford explorer sport and low beams not workiing.

replace driver module relay .it controls the low beam lights.

Haed lights

All 4 lights is HIGH beam. The 2 that come on in 'LOW' are the low beams.

Either the bulbs or the dimmer switch in steering column is broken. do you get the click when switching the dimmer and get the blue indicator light?

Testimonial: "switch is working fine. blue light is coming on when I Click it to high beam. Chev dealer (for $50) told me its the whole fuse block under the hood. Parts and labor $700. I dont think so!!!!!. I thought about trying to change the low beam relay on the fuse block thinking that was bad. There is no relay for high beam. Chev told me that that one is build in to the entire fuse block. Oh, one more thing, I'm not female. No offence ladies. Thanks Stuart"
