Where is the traction control sensor on a 1998 Toyota Avalon XL located? My manual doesn't list it in the index and I could not find it in the usual chapters. The sensor was reset and went back off so I'm fairly sure it needs to be replaced. Thank you, Jeff

Google '98 avalon traction control sensor location'. Should list a you tube video.

Testimonial: "I did some more research and I am getting the car looked at. The traction control works off of other systems and it turns out that they may be the problem. I will post what is found later this weekend (assumes that the problem gets fixed this time)."

SOURCE: NEED TO KNOW THE LOCATION

If single exhaust pipe, look for the bank 1 sensor 2 oxygen sensor to be either stuck into the side of the catalytic converter or just downstream of it.

If dual exhaust pipes, look for the bank 1 sensor 2 oxygen sensor to be just downstream of the catalytic converter for the bank of cylinders that contain cylinder 1.

Were its the fuse relay flasher located in avalon 98 xl toyota

A fuse and a relay are two different things. Which are you looking for? By 'flasher' do you mean the turn signals? Try this website where they will be listed as "Turn Signals".

2005 Toyota Avalon with codes p0441,p0455,p0456,p0505 and the vcs abs and traction light on?

You have a few different things coming up as these lights and codes. I'll list the code meaning below.
Did you mean the VSC light? VSC, Traction Control and ABS all refer to your braking system so get it fixed AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
The '505' code refers to the air flow management system in the air intake manifold. The other codes refer to the EVAP system on the vehicle. This may seem a silly suggestion but check you fuel filler cap isn't loose, missing or the seal on the cap isn't damaged. The EVAP works as an air tight system and if it is leaking that is one of the most common causes, (and its a cheap repair).

P0441 = Evaporative Emission System Incorrect Purge Flow
P0455 = Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (large leak)
P0456 = Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (very small leak)
P0505 = Idle Air Control System

1998 Toyota Avalon Check engine light

should have an OBDII connection under the dash on the drivers side. Looks like an elongated computer port, probably has a cover on it that says OBDII. You can buy a code reader from an auto store like pepboys for around $100 i think. Just a side note, usually if the car is still driving ok and not acting weird, it is an emissions sensor.
