It's held down by one bolt right above the timing chain cover. It's next to the head that's facing toward the front of the car.

It sounds like your EGR valve needs to be replaced. You can go to any auto parts store and get one. Try replacing spark plugs and plug wires also. If the timing was off it would pick up speed slowly and would vibrate really bad at idle. When you go to accelerate if it doesn't accelerate normally it may be the timing but i highly dought it. Try plugs and wires first. then the EGR valve.

I have an 2006 Pontiac G6 with 4cyl and automatic. I got a p0014 camshaft position actuator B-bank 1, timing over advance. could it be the sensor or do you think the timing belt needs to be replaced?...

hi, this is due to oil pressure send to the exhaust camshaft position sensor,, before u change this sensor or checking engine timing,, change the positon of sensor a to sensor b and check the dtc if it is still p0014, if other dtc will send to ecmit means that the sensor is the problem, if P0014 still the code, you may now check bank 1 timing

Trouble codes p0340 and p0014 for a chevy trailblazer engine keeps either idling up real fast or trys to die

You need to check the cam phazer and see if it's damaged. Lots of the time it leaks oil into the connector and messes up the wires. Also I've seen the oil control screens come out of the phazer and go into the engine, which will also set the coeds. If I were you I'd pull the phazer out and see if all 3 of the oil control screens are there. My bet is one will be missing. Make sure to change the oil too. You may get lucky and it will have made it to the oil pan? Other wise I wouldn't worry too much about it. Most of the time it will not cause any engine problems. Good luck, oh and you do have to pull the power steering pump off to get the phazer out. But you can just take the bolts out for the pump and let it fall down so you can get the phazer out!
