Engine runs rough when hot, miss fires and will not take revs missing badly, ok when cold

I think you have burnt valve seat or head gasket either cylinder head has to be removed

replace the injector in no 2 cylinder

It can be issue with IAC( idle air control valve) causing the problem.

There are many other possibilities causing these idle issues. Engine idles rough.

Check out the AboutAutomobile.com site for NHTSA complaints. I believe there was a defect in the cylinder heads for this engine. The redesigned heads have a different suffix letter than the stock heads.

For a time, the Manufactuer was paying for the repair.

Sounds like you have some valve guide seals bad or broken rings on the pistons that is if it is an oil smoke.If it is a flood smoke it sounds like you have an 02 sensor that has went bad.

I don't know if it would cause the shaking and vibrations, but for the smoke it could be loose nuts or broken studs on the exhaust manifold -- when engine is cold check each of the nuts (there should be 8) to see if they are loose or missing/broken; you may have to remove a heat-shield in order to gain access

hi you need to find out what the fault codes say but if the two cylinders are next to each other and are running to hot the miss-fire is on these two cylinders do a compression test on these two i suspect the head gasket has gone between the two if everything is ok have a look at the distributor cap and rotor yates210456

check ignition system , sounds like a ignition miss fire p 0300 normaly is a coil or lead fault or bad spray patterns on the injectors can also cause a miss fire when the engine is cold .

Have you checked compression on non firing cylinders? Likely has blown head gasket between these two cylinders if located side by side.
