ford expedition four wheel drive vacuum line location. i found a vacuum line unconnected at one end under the hood , below master cylinder. It T's off of what looks like the auto locker on the front wheels. When driving the truck feels as though its being held back. No engine misfires but definate lack of power.

sounds like its stuck.this was never a good system. if you have the owners manual follow it to a T. ussually if you find a dirt lot engage the 4x4 run it for a few then shut it off. then back up ten to twenty feet this will set things right
SOURCE: Front End noise and vibration
Check the U-joints and axle baerings. But its most likely because the truck is in four wheel drive.

Four wheel drive is designed to drive on grave or mud. You will always have a feeling within the steering wheel and the truck will feel as though it is hopping , this is normal on dry pavement. How ever you shouldn't hear noise this is an indication that your universal joint on your front differential shaft is worn. You should have both changed if you are considering driving it in four wheel drive a lot in the conditions that the vehicle was designed to drive in, slippery, muddy, ect.
