Car wont start...sometimes

Sounds like you are loosing fuel pressure overnight. Could be a fuel pump problem, or a leaking injector.

when you say -turn over do you mean firing-turning over to me means the starter motor is cranking or turning over-firing is when combustion happens in the cylinders-as far as the cranking continuing-try some wd40 in the ignition switch-it may be hanging up-Denny

If you battery is charged, sound like a starter problem or a ignition key switch problem.

ive had the same problem with my 02 dispatch 2.0hdi. would start ok on cold but after a run and getting the engine hot it would take a few tries to start. then one day it just wouldn't start at all. turned out to be leaking injectors. replaced the copper washers and plastic sleeves, put it all back together and it was all sorted.

Sounds like its time to have the ignition checked and maybe replaced,if it get to a point where you cant turn it then the repair will cost more if the key wont turn this make removing the lock harder. also a worn key will also cause this, tell you what try to spary a little wd40 into the key hole and then start and shut car off a few times then spray again and start abd shut off a few more time to see if this will help. good luck and hope this is helpful

Check the park/neutral safety switch. Sometimes, if mis adjusted or bad, you can move the shifter while turning the key. Other wise, the starter solenoid is bad.

Turn your key on and off several times, don't turn the engine over, just turn the key until the guages are activated. While doing this, listen for a buzzing sound coming from the rear. You should hear it for about 2 seconds upon each turn of the key. If you hear nothing than you'll need to get your fuel system(pump, relay and fuses) checked.

Hmm, sounds like starter. Next time it will not start, don't hold the key for almost a minute. Try turning the key several times if no luck, grabb a hammer and LIGHTLY tap on starter. If it turns over normally then, starter is going out.

turn key to ON position wait 10 min untill security light stops flashing and dissapears then hit unlock 3 times then start
