I purchased a Delphi fuel pump for my 2004 chevy Silverado I hooked up everything correctly. I used the wiring diagram that was included I found the diagram that I needed hooked it up I turn the key on I hear no noise from the pump and im not getting anything what could the problem be my truck is a v6
Did you check the fuel pump relay in the fuse center under the hood? Maybe you blew the relay and really didn't need to replace the pump. Did you recheck all the wired connections with a DVOM? Never ever replace anything as important as a fuel pump with out double checking all connection and checking for voltage before putting it all back together. Hopefully you didn't put the gas tank back in yet. Oh and you can swap the relay with one of the others sitting next to it i the fuse center, just remember to switch it back when you're done.

Has the power supply been checked as constant and spike free?Have you opened up the pump to determine exactly why it failed as that would give you an area to explore. Also make sure the pressure relief valve is working at the fuel rail correctly.check that fuel return line is free and clear

Chevy Trucks, Blazers, S10 pickup and the like will vapor lock ecspecially the 2000 models. Do not tighten the gas cap past 1 click. There is a tube that runs from the top of the tank down and this gets hot and collapses or burns in half. We just bought a reinforced rubber tube cut it to lengh and use it instead of part and it's worked grat for 2 years so far.

Try having the fuel pressure regulator checked, it's round in shape at the end of the fuel rail, and has a small vaccum line connected to it.
Also check that vaccum line to see what shape it's in, the littlest pin hole will cause a problem.

I am have the exact same problem but my ground seems to be intact and getting a good ground. Do you have any other ideas on what may be cause the Fuel pump not to kick on?
