Best bet would be to drop the tank and clean it out
they tend to get rust inside the tank when they sit this long if you decide to drop the tank and find rust inside take a 3 ft piece of heavy chain and shake it around inside the tank to loosen all the rust and clean the rust out really well before putting the tank back in

First disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Next left out the back seat. It is spring clipped in with two clips on the bottom left and right front of the seat. Pull clips forward and lift seat front up. It hooks in at the back so rotate the front up to unhook and lift out. In the middle under the seat is the gas gauge float. Disconnect the wire connector and remove floor cover with Philips screwdriver. Then remove float from tank. From here you can siphon off the gas in the tank and inspect it for rust.

I think the is a plug on the bottom of the tank that a half inch drive may fit. I have never tried it but it may be the quickest way to remove gas. However you could not see into the tank to inspect it.

At the bottom (underneath) of the fuel tank thire sould be a spot were a line leads from the gas tank to some where else in the car see if u can some how pull the hose out to let the fuel drain on your toyota the hose might be on the top of the tank.
Then u would have to syphon it out you will need a very very small hose a air compresser/ air pump and get a rag to put over where u put gas in to keep the air from escasping so that it builds presure and force the gas to go out the line.

Why cant i syphon gas out of 07' mitsubishi galant? Does this year and model have an anti-syphon ball?

Where are you siphoning it from? Under tank or from tank mouth? Under, not siphoning, it is clogged. From mouth, keep sucking hose til gas propel from it.

My toyota 4-runner sat for 3 yrs and now it turns over and wants to start but won't what may be the problem

If it sat for 3 yrs without starting then chances are it is the fuel. I belive most of the older toyotas had a drain on the gas tank, I would reccomend draining the gas and replacing the fuel filter to start with, just keep in mind that if it has an electric fuel pump there is a good possibility that it has gone bad from sitting. P.S. if there is no drain and you can't get the fuel pump to work and pump out all the old gas then I would suggest getting a universal fuel pump to remove all the old gas, or you can try to syphon the gas out and is a pain. Hope this helps you out, if you have any more questions then add a comment and I will get back to you.

Need to know how to syphon gas out of my1993 Mitsubishi Diamante and hose gets stopped by something before reaching the gas tank. Bad gas was put in my car when the power went out due to tornados here in...

you can't syphon the gas out on these vehicles. They have a ball that is in the metal hose on the gas tank to keep any large object out of the tank. Your best bet would be to drop the tank, and take the fuel pump out and dump all the old fuel. Hope this helps, James Booth

How to you syphon the gas from the tank of a 1992 Buick Regal without removing the gas tank?

You can **** on a hose the primitive way or purchase a syphon hose with a bellows that will syphon the gas out for you. Even a electric one can be bought

Trying to syphon gas from a 2000 toyota camry and can't get the hose into the gas tank it hits something and won't go in far enough to get to the gas

There is a safety block in there that doesn't aloow them to be syphoned. Sorry to tell you. If you are needing to get the gas out then you will have to drop the tank. It sucks cause it is alot of work but that is the only way it can be done.

My 1984 toyota pickup will not idle it will run

could be several things, sounds like either your carb, is bad or needs rebuilt. Or you may have some bad vacuum lines, I would check the one going to the distributor first

What is the best way to drain a gas tank on a 86 honda prelude

Your answer is a long tube down the filler pipe and syphon it out into a pail. The end of the hose in the bottom of the tank must be higher than the end of the hose to the pail in the pail. To start the syphoning has someone you don't like **** on the out side end to start the flow. OR...You can buy a kit to do this with a hand operated bellowspump to start the flow. This should get most of it out. Hope that helps you. Please let me know!

Fuel leaking from top of gas tank

sounds like you are going to have to drop the tank out to inspect and fix. with luck it will be leaking from the fuel pump seal or the return line.
Bad luck would be if the tank is rusted out and needs to be replaced.
Syphon as much gas out of the tank as you can before you drop it , gas is heavy.
