A loose connection to the starter; Bad battery; loose battery cable; bad ignore switch. As the dash lights disappear, it indicates a power failure in the system. Start at the battery, follow the power point checking for power atdifferent intervals,

Did you try rotating the CAS input shaft? Remember that the cams spin at half the speed of the crank, so a full spin of the CAS is actually 720 degrees. It could be that the CAS is 360 degrees out of phase and causing the car not to run properly. Unbolt it and remove it carefully. Rotate the input shaft (the part that mates with the cam) 360 degrees and put it back on, and see if that helps.

Also, just making sure, when you double-checked the cam timing marks, you did verify that in addition to the four cam sprockets being aligned properly, the crank timing mark is also aligned correctly, right?

SOURCE: need to know what the warning light on dash means

The flashing dash light is a warning about a failing system, most likely the fuel system. On mine it was the oxygen sensor on the way out. You need to do the diagnosis process with the ECU and this will report back the code that will tell you precisely what's the problem. You'll find the ECU diagnosis procedure here at the 300ZX online factory service manual.
Hope this helps.

check timing, see if belt may have slipped out of timing, and need pressure tester to test pressure where the fuel goes into the fuel filter. check for vaccuum leaks.

SOURCE: Distributor wont spark

check the fuseble link.
you can measure it, and make sure the contact are clean and secured.
the other thing is the check the ignition switch, make sure you have 12v going to the switch.
check thermo switch on top of the block.

Ford Raptor 2021 - spanner light illuminates

This is true. Sometimes the faults are intermittent. the engine computer checks, see a fault and reports it, then the fault goes away and the light goes off. If it eventually stays on, then you can do something about it. nothing to worry about yet.

I have a 300zxb1990 tt. And the hicas light turns on

if you want to delete the hicas then just remove the pump and plug the line running into the differential. If you want to keep it then i'd suggest you replace the whole system. Is you check engine light on?

300ZX wont start, or crank for nothing

The car seems to have functioning parts but it is probably a wiring issue - have you done a heater core replacement or anything under the dash/hood in a while (other than "tapping on the starter" <-- which you shouldnt do by the way)

what year is it??

if it is a 1990 the car has a plug undone under the driver side steering column on the "security" and "ignition" wiring circuit - read your FSM (factory service manual) and diagnose the problem. it is definately a short somewhere!

1988 nissan 300zx won't turn over

Possible short in the starter solenoid, killing power while attempting to crank, but restoring power when you stop the attempt. If I remember correctly, (*been a while since I've been under the hood of my 300ZX*), the solenoid is separate from the starter motor itself. Also, Make sure you have a solid ground at the starter connector, as well as a good positive connection.
Another thing to look at,(*I've had this happen several times*), check the condition and tightness of your battery terminal connections. If one of these are at fault, you will have the problems you described, but power is not likely to return until after you either turn the key all the way off, or jiggle the terminals.

If power returns when you jiggle the terminals, either tighten them some more, or if they are worn, like mine were, you will HAVE to replace them, as the snap-lock feature will never tighten them enough anymore. If this solves your problem, I highly recommend you also spray on some battery terminal corrosion preventative compound. I've noticed in my 300Z, the terminals were always corroding unless I did this.

Hope this gets you up and running, and good luck!!!
