2005 Honda Odyssey Traction control is kicking on for no reason in high speed left turns, and even by simply shaking the steering wheel back and forth while driving at as little as 25mph. Honda dealer couldn't figure it out. ???

So after you push the button and then press the set button in the steering wheel it does not get into cruise control ? It sounds like a minor electrical problem. If you have warranty still I think the dealership should fix it for free.

Sorry i have not been able to help you.

SOURCE: Our 2005 Honda Odyssey had a check engine light / misfire

When a cylinder mis-fires there is a reason. The dealer should have told you that. Most likely you have a fouled out spark plug. Which means you need new spark plugs and maybe wires. All this would be covered in a standard tune up. Once the bad spark plug is replaced, the computer will quit registering a mis-fire. Please give good ratings, they meen a lot to us.... Thank you

I had same problem. Could be the remotes need to be reprogrammed or replaced; or one of your door locks might not be working right.

Have a 2005 Odyssey and recently having a tough time turning the steering wheel. Checked Power Steering fluid but it is OK. After car gets going it isnt a problem. What is wrong? Temps have been around -5...

More than likely it is still the power steering pump. What is happening is the fluid is heating up and thinning out and cycling through the pump causing it to work normally. There is actually a SB about the hard steer at low speeds on the Odyssey - contact your local dealer and they should be familiar with this issue.

When I turn in my 2002 Honda Odyssey, the steering wheel makes a "vibrating/rubbing" noise. What might be causing this? Thanks.

Does this happen at both high and low speeds? At high speeds I'd suggest that you have the wheel bearing checked. If it's at low speeds, check the wheelwell for parts that might be coming in contact with the tire. Drive VERY slowly and carefully have someone look at it.

My trac light is on, on the dash board. Where is the wheel sensor located ?

Your vehicle is equipped with 4 of them. They are located at each of the 4 wheels. There are other reasons that the Traction Control light can come on...wheel speeds sensors are not the only reason, athough they are the most common. The traction control system works with the engine/powertrain control system and with the antilock brake system. A bad wheel speed sensor will usually also turn on the Antilock Brake (ABS) light. If the Check Engine light is also on, you could have an engine control problem causing the Trac light to come on.
.
If the Trac light is on by itself, you may just have the traction control turned off. The Trac Off switch is located on the steering column.

If none of the above solves your problem, then you will have to scan your computer system to find out why the light is on. ( i.e. failed wheel speed sensor...but which one?)

My 2005 Honda Odyssey shakes rather violently in the front end while braking semi-hard to hard while at high rates of speed (60 MPH+).

Bring it to a repair shop ASAP lets not play around with brakes.
Could be calipers, rotors or pads or a combination of any.

2005 honda odyssey radio controls on the steering wheel, the volume up button changes the station while the volume down button turns up the volume

there is a service bulletin about this. the steering wheel has to be removed along with the switch gear. then the steering shaft ring that makes contact for these controls while the wheel is being turned need to be gently dimpled to make better contact. if the dimples are too extremem the whole steering column will need replaced.
