No, the size of the fuse only protects the stereo against a dead short.If your battery goes dead and the connections are all good ,in all probability the problem is in your alternator. A mechanic with a tester can check that out for very little cost.

THE RADIO SHOULD HAVE TWO FUSES CHECK THE FUSE FOR THE TURN ON CIRCUIT. ALSO CHECK THE FUSES WITH A TEST LIGHT TO MAKE SURE ITS POWER TO THE FUSE ITSELF

you mean fuel pump if it is the case look to replace the all pump ,if it is really worn it could cause the fuse to blow

It may be possible that your alternator is bad and discharged your brand new battery. Take both the battery and the alternator to your local parts store and have both checked.
