You need to check the brake switch and the sit on brake pedal, when the sit of the brake light switch is broken or has a hole in the middle it wont allow the to turn off the brake lights. It has to be welded or fill the hole with a small bolt.

1999 chevy lumina parking lights flashing and strange clicking noise coming from the dash near the steering column even when the car is turned off and the key is removed from the ignition. How do I stop...

Sounds like you turned on your emergency flashers somehow without knowing it. The button should be on your steering column. Otherwise, find the flasher control under the dash by following the clicking noise and unplug it. Then go buy a new flasher control.

Brakes are on all day i have to unplug battery to get braks off

Sounds like you need a switch. Its on the brake pedal under the dash. When you step on the pedal the light comes on, and vice versa. Its a cheap part and most of the time you put it on and turn it 90 degrees sideways to install it. Go to Autozone.com. Get a picture of the brake light switch for the year make and model of your car. And climb under the dash and see if you can locate it. It should have 1 plug on it and be connected to a bracket right next to the brake pedal.

Brake lights do not work when you apply braks on a 1993 jeep grand cherokee.

Check the bulbs, switch on top of pedal arm under dash and fuses.Make sure bulb sockets have proper grounding.
