Hi not sure if your vehicle is an Astra G or an AH.
the Astra G relay should be in a covered box under bonnet.
There should be a longish round electrical connector in front of it.
Remove cover there should only 2 or 3 relay positions. It may be Violet in colour, if it has 2 relay positions I think its the front relay.
If it has three positions (it still may only have two relays fitted) it should be the one at the back.
Please be aware I am going by memory as I have not been involved with Astra's for some years.
The Astra AH, unfortunately I really don't remember.
Good luck
My 2007 astra central locking went crazy doors not locking some wouldn't unlock ,tail gate not latching, hole locking system not working, no indicator flashes when pushing remote, wires from body to door inside rubber boot were broken , very hard brittle plastic coating on wires where they need to bend n flex
some had dip stick to check and fill from which is in middle of engine and trans at front (where engine joins trans) black plastic lock over tang, engine dip stick is yellow. other model transmissions had a filler bolt hole which is in left side of gear box right next to where left drive shaft goes into gearbox even though its auto. some manual boxes had this same filler plug location and even on right side of box next to right drive shaft.
By "normal lights" I assume you mean "low-beam headlamps"? If this is true, then you may either have burned out headlamp bulbs or a faulty low-beam headlamp relay or relay circuit.
hi, I have the same problem. The central remote locking is controlled by the soriginal stereo. Thats why it has an extra section of wires than other stereos. I cut this section off and connect it back to the original stereo and the remote lock works again. but as long as you connect the rest of the wires to the new stereo, the lock lost again. Now is like nly music or the lock. I have not find a way to let both of them work. Please let me know if you do.
