Straight forward job. Remove wheels, remove 2 caliper bolts per wheel, check bolts, and bushings for wear/corrosion and lubricate, remove calipers, remove brake pads, push caliper pistons into calipers, replace anti-rattle clips, put new pads in, put caliper and bolts in, put wheels on. Start truck and press brake pedal several times to take up slack and you're done.

I need to know what is wrong with my dodge ram 1500 . When I brake the truck squeals and its not my brake pads cause they look like new .

Did you install Dodge Replacement pads or aftermarket? With the size of the rotors and pads on your Ram it is not uncommon for aftermarket pads to have squeal. Did you install and use the anti-squeal material that should have come with the pads?

I cant get the old pads out of my 2006 dodge 2500

You need to use a piece of wood and a hammer, To knock the calliper out the way and brake pads will be easy to remove, If they are stuck just wack em out if your replacing them anyway.

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9 Cummins Diesel No Brake Pedal

I worked on a Dodge car one time and I had a problem with the brakes almost similiar to yours. It turns out a cheap pair of brake pads can mess up your system. I would suggest Bendix pads I also noticed you didn't mention the rear shoes. Any way use better pads it might help.

How to replace rear brake pads on 2006 dodge sprinter 3500

replacing brake pads is pretty simple but because the results of not doing it correctly is pretty severe (can you say accident) I recomend you get a Haynes manual for your vehicle. Generally they can be purchased for approximately $20 at autozone. The basics for replacing brake pads (as opposed to brake shoes) is to losen the brake caliper so it can be moved up off the brake rotor. Then the old pads pop out. Next the brake caliper piston is pushed back into the caliper and the new pads fit in. Now the caliper is placed back over the brake rotor. Again, get the manual.

Instructions for replacing brake pads on 2005 dodge ram 1500 4wd

Remove Tire
On the back ot the caliper ( holds Brake pads) there are two bolt or Screws ( usually allen heads) loosen those screws and remove them. pull off the caliper. check your rotor check for grooves and you might want to take them to get turned ( cleans the surface by taking a thin layer of metal off.

Using a C clamp or Disk brake pad tool carefully and slowly compress the piston back into the caliper....Slowly. Pace ne break pads in caliper and slide it back on to the rotor... replacing the bolts tighten them up...replace tire and you should be good to go. Remember to pump you breaks to get the pads to adjust will be soft at first. there should be no need to bleed the brakes.
