Best suggestion is to check valve covers and oil filters... Then if not obvious need to pressure wash or have engine steam cleaned then look for leaks. Check all fluid levels to see if any are low.

SOURCE: oil leak problem with 1996 toyota camry

I am going to see a mechanic - my trusted mechanic who does not nickel and dime me - to see what this is. I have the same problem and he told me he has never done this job on a Camry and is unsure. Given the miles, he has suggested that maybe it is time to part ways with the car. I am going to ask him if he will put some florescent dye in it and let me drive it for 50-100 mi and then check to see where the leak is and fix it. Let you know what happens. I have to try, the car is solid.

I have a 87 Toyota Supra which overheated today Noticed it is leaking coolant, on the passenger side of the engine block. .

Check your thermostat, coolant in radiator,Water pump,Make sure it's circulating. Check radiator fan.Check your catalytic converter..If its clogged up your car will run hot.Hopefully the leak is a freeze plug and not a cracked head.. Check oil... Make sure water is not mixing with oil..If your car is back firing or slow on acceleration...it's the Catalytic converter in front of muffler. If it is don't throw it away they can be sold for scrap

Where is oil leaking into spark plug valley from

Toyota has removable tubes that are sealed by O-rings. I believe you have to remove valve cover to gain access

Sounds like a vacuum leak. Make sure there are no ports open on the intake manifold that looks like a hose is missing.

Oil leaking from toyota camry 1992, 1994 model

You don't say what engine it has. The 4-cyl was a better than the V6 for oil leaks.

The V6 had oil leaks from

-rear bank cam cover gasket

-distributor o-ring seal

-oil filter bracket o-ring seal

-crankshaft nose oil seal (less common)

-rear main bearing oil seal (expensive, just leave it)

The 4 cyl leaked oil from

-distributor o-ring seal

-camshaft cover gasket

-rear main bearing seal (expensive, leave it)

Rear oil leak that's getting on the catalytic converter it cause's a little flam and lots off smoke. don't know where it's coming from but need it to stop flaming up and smoke bad.

check if oil leak comes from engine or transm. , generally if oil drops on catalyc , is the rear cranck engine seal, between engine-transm.

1991 toyota supra blue smoke from tail pipe when get of the gas

The intake valve guide seals are worn and are letting oil slip by under high engine vacuum--as when you let up on the gas. The only fix is to take the cylinder head off and replace the valve guide seals. This problem is pretty normal for an older car with high mileage. It will probably run just fine. Just keep checking the oil level and keep it topped up.

Oil leak on 1991 3.0 V-6 Engine

If leak is from top at rear my bet would be that valve cover gaskets are leaking. They are not too hard to change. Good Luck

Knock sensor location

under the intake manifold, if it is turbo there should be two of them. please note that I have seen many of these that set knock sensor codes and the problem was usually in the wiring. wire will ohm ok but the problem is faulty shielding that allows other voltages to leak into the circuit. easiest fix is to buy some shielded microphone wire from radio shack and run a new wire from the sensor to the ecu.
