First of all, even though it's a very common term for electrical problems, you probably are not looking for a short. A short is where a circuit is not following the intended path to where the power is intended to go, and is taking a short cut (short). A true short will cause blown fuses, tripped circuit breakers, smoke, melted wire insulation, etc. What you are probably looking for is an "open" where the path of flow is interrupted. It's like there is a bridge out on your normal drive to work, so you can't get through to your destination.

To find the problem, you need to dig for clues. Does the problem happen together? You mention radio and windows... do they both stop at the same time? The first place to look is the fuse box. It's probably under the dash, open the driver door and look somewhere near the hood latch just below the dash. If there is a cover to remove, there will usually be a chart showing the layout and which fuses go to which circuits. You can pull the power window fuse and also the radio fuse and visually check them. Also, the switches for the power windows are a common problem on these cars, so you can try to pop out a switch and short across the terminals to bypass the switch and see if the window rolls up, then you know you have a bad switch. You would short from the middle terminal out to one of the outer terminals at a time, one is for up, one is for down.

One of the solutions would be to check the BCM or body control module, which should be in the glove compartment. Usually, there is a blue wire that has become loose. This usually causes the issue. Had the same thing happen to my Trans Am. It could also be that your BCM is going bad. If so, you can get it sourced from the dealership (a little pricey). I believe if you get one from the salvage yard, it would have to be reprogrammed to your car.

It is computer timed have you replaced the timing chain? and need how to set it up from the beginning? if your getting pinging you need to do a top engine clean to allow the knock sensor to be able to adjust the timeing.

SOURCE: is there such a car as a 2000 firebird/formula V6

The formula was just a body option. It has nothing to do with the performance of the car or what drive train is in it.
So the short answer to your question is YES.

On my 1994 trans am the power windows and radio just quit working

If it is intermittently, you may have a body control module problem. Often, when a wire comes loose, it loses contact and causes the radio and window to not work. I would start with that and look for a loose blue wire going to the BCM.

2000 firebird alarm goes off and wont start

My guess would be if it is the factory alarm the security chip in the key has failed, or the sensor in the lock cylinder.
Can you disarm the alarm by locking and unlocking the drivers door with the key ?

Blowing 15A fuses on my 2000 firebird v6, fuse is the #7 and controls the dash and dash running lights also shuts down my radio as well.

First place i would look would be the radio, especially if it's an aftermarket installation. You will have to pull it out and look for loose broken or bare wires.

When i start my 01 firebird the radio wont come on and the windows dont work, after about 30 seconds they start to work. 2 days ago the power antenna just kept going up and down about 7 times. it seems to...

With our 2000 Firebird the Door locks also didn't work. A couple of solder joints became loos on a BCM module located under the glove box area inside a plastic case we had to remove. All's good now on ours after resoldering the locations I found on another site.

Radio cuts out windows dont work

I have the same problem with my 96 camaro. I checked the fuses box and the radio, windows and IP dimmer fuses don't have power. More likely is a short in the motor of one of the windows.
