First, try spraying some starter fluid into the throttle body. If it starts, then the problem is in the fuel system. If you hear the pump running, is the fuel gauge working? If it still does not run, then possible ignition problems. Using a scanner would help in determining where the problem is.
Drivers side of the engine on the side back by the flywheel. Nothing has to come off except the connector. Just unscrew the retaining bolt and pull it out. Replace with new and screw in the bolt.
with the key on you should have power on one side of the injector all the time. the other wire is the ground circuit and is controlled by the ECM when the injector is to fire or inject fuel into the cylinder.
I don't know where you heard that , no a bad starter would not make the key stay stuck in the ignition lock cylinder !!!!!!! Can you put the trans gear selector in park ? or is it in a gear position ?
