2006 Hummer H2 left rear bumper turn signal / brake light does not work. Bulb is good, same light works as tail light, but doesn not work as brake light or turn signal. Problem is also present in trailer lighting connector for brake and turn functions.

There is nothing aftermarket on this vehicle, I don't know where you got that idea.

If someone added an aftermarket item to your lights, they may not work correctly, have it looked at by a professional who does that type of thing for a living.

2005 Hummer H2 SUV - Rear bumper light socket

Hello, If the socket is not broken and the metal contacts are not melted, you should be able to reuse the socket. It just got scorched from the bulb reaching 1000 degrees in a fraction of a second. The Tungsten coil inside takes a lot of heat to burn it up. If you can scrape the char off of the contacts and install a new bulb, every thing should work perfectly. I see these sockets charred like this all of the time, even with a good bulb. If the socket is deformed, you can usually go to any parts store and ask them if they can find you one of these sockets. Most of the parts stores have books loaded with aftermarket companies that deal with just this type of scenario. I hope this info helps...
