Try a different CD or two and see if there's a difference? Many CDs that are homemade do not work in older CD players, but store-bought ones will work fine....Is you CD homemade???
Either Cd is problematic or lens inside of cd player is covered with dust. There is no way of properly cleaning it unless you remove the cd player out and disassemble.
You may try cd cleaner kits but ususally they cant help.
i suggest you uninstall the CD player and take it apart to retrieve the CD. If it is a factory installed radio w/ CD player, I would take it to the dealership to get your CD out.
To be able to fix your cd player you will ned special tools, and specific knowhow to replace the components. I would recommend just buying a new cd player and installing it.
