Are they drums on the rear? if not you can do this. on the caliper there should be 2 bolts holding it on. loosen one and pull the other out. lift the caliper up or down remove pads open the master cylinder so that you can compres the piston on the caliper. if you dont open the master sylinder cap it will be very tough. replace pads. tighten bolts nice and snug. then with car off pump brakes till tough. make sure you fill the master sylinder up that way no air gets in to it. if you do you gonna have to bleed the brakes. if that happens start at the passenger side rear then driver side rear then passenger front then driver front. please lemme know if you need help or if i helpd at all

Question edited for clarity. Wrong type of break / brake.
Question moved to model category.

Check the brake switch with a meter first. Then check headlight relays and fuses.

My 1995 Isuzu trooper sls's brakes are grinding what do i do?

Most likely, you just need to replace your brakes. The longer you wait, the more expensive the repairs will be.

Are the trroper and Rodeo related?

Yes, they should be. The Rodeo and Trooper LS (3.2L) definitely have the same rear calipers.
All you need to do is punch in both models on napa or autozone.com, and ensure they list the same parts.

THE DRIVER WHEEL BRAKES ON MY 94 TROOPER WILL NOT DISENGAGE

the brake caliper is frozen, this is usually caused by an extended trip to heat up brakes, followed by submerging caliper in or washing with lots of water

or hitting puddles at high speed while hot

Cv joint replacement 1998 isuzu trooper 4x4

This is a simple job that is why it is not very detailed in your book. Nothing special. Do one side at a time so you have a reference to how to reassemble it. Remove your tire , brake calipers be sure not to stress the rubber brake lines or open the brake lines to air. Remove both upper and lower ball joints. When taking out the ball joints remove the cotter pin and bolt and beat the **** out of the joint for it to release. Then the C/V axles will come right out with a bit out encouragement. You will need a few tools wrenches pry bar hammer. I would buy a Chilton's or a Haynes repair manual for torque specs for reassembly. Good luck and take your time. And unless the axles are making noise you can just replace the rubber boots. Which is alot cheaper.
