It could be a fuse,or the reverse light switch has gone bad. its on the transmission on the side. should be a 2 wire connector. you can test it by unpluging it and put a meter on ohms between the two pins leading to the switch. it should read infinite when in any gear other than reverse and read 0 when in reverse
Check the switch on the gear box/auto box. they are common to fail.

Not sure what transmssion you have but basically it goes from fuse on P/O wire to either the MLP switch on automatic or just a backup lamp switch on manual and leaves the switch on BK/PK wire to the bulbs. Should be easy to trace with a 12v test light.

it sounds like the wiring is all wrong as if its a bad earth on the car after he wired the fog lights maybe you should check and see if there is any wires hanging down underneath the bonnet that have been stripped back or see if there is and loose wires on the back of your lights or fuse board if you dont find any problems there take out the radio in the car i find that most problems to do with bad wiring or electrical problems in cars is to do with bad wiring on a radio i.e not having been installed proberly. hopes this helps

I had a persistent problem of hill light warning and TCS warning lights coming on for no apparent reason. There is a wire connection between the stop light switch and the control unit to let the system know when brakes are being applied. Changing the stop light switch cured it. The replaced switch was certainly sticking and the new one was of a different design. Replaced it myself as switch comes with a wiring loom. Need to get on your back under the steering wheel! Not very expensive. My car 2001 TD4

Not 100% sure on that particular vehicle but many have safety neutral & back-up switch as one on transmission. Maybe dealer or part store can look up part & tell you if one switch in your case does both.

IF THE ABS LIGHT STAYS ON WHILE SITTING STILL OR MOVING.IT COULD BE ABS UNIT.A BAD OR ABS RELAY.OR BATTERY VOLTAGE LOW. IF ABS LIGHT COMES ON WHILE DRIVING.YOU HAVE A BAD WHEEL SENSOR.TAKE IT TO DEALERSHIP HAVE THE ABS BRAKES SCANNED.
