The transmission fluid should be flushed out every 60,000miles. In your owners manual there will be a service interval section that will tell you how often the fluid should be changed.

Oil type for 2006 dodge grand caravan

New cars and truck manufactures recomend differend types of grades of oil when the engine is new. What they don't tell you when the engine receives 30,000 miles on it the grade of oil can be changed for better lubrication. Use 10w30 for normal use upon changing oil.

Oil light came on when idling; oil changed; still happening occasionally. If I put it in park or neutral and rev it - the oil light goes out. Could it be the oil sending/pressure unit? Is there an easy way...

make sure are using a genuine dodge oil filter and correct grade of oil to check further you need to have the oil pressure checked using a master gauge a garage would do this for you if ok replace pressure switch if very low could be pump and bearing wear is the idle speed set too low i would check this

My oil light comes on every so often, breifly.

Check the Oil Pressure Sensor. It is located to the left of the Oil Filter. Check the connection, then remove, clean the sensor, reinstall and check operation again. If this does not work, remove again and replace this Sensor. Based on miles (130K) it is about time for a new one.
I'm not a big believer in synthetic oil, but that is my own opinion. I used exactly what is recommended.
If this does not fix the problem, then you should check for a leak. When checking the Oil Pressure Sensor: also check to see if the Oil Filter is tight enough. Was a light coat of fresh oil applied to the rubber o-ring gasket before putting on?

Van leaps and stalls when parked. Fuel filter?

Then you might want to idle the low idle speed up a half a turm to see if that sovles the problem.
