Need to put engine coolant in a 1999 Chrysler 300m. The reservoir says it takes a special kind of coolant. What kind? Can I use Prestone 50/50

whar steps do I take after draing the coolant from the radiator. I have a 1999 chysler 300m. Should the engine be running while replacing the coolant. This car does not have a radiator cap to remove. Do I just add the coolant in the resivor while the engine is running?

I have a 2002 chrysler 300m problem code p0073 aimbient air sensor , i bought the sensor but i dont know where it is located

Hi,
On2.7L models, the IAT sensor is located on the left side (driver) of the Intake Manifold plenum, if you are standing in front of the car, it is the sensor right before the two vacumm hoses plugged into the Intake Manifold.

On 3.2L/3.5L models, the IAT sensor is incorporated whthin the Map sensor which is also located on the left side (driver) of the upper Intake Manifold plenum. Right by the coolant reservoir tank.

Good Luck

Power steering pump on a 2002 chrysler 300m how do u replace it mine is locked up

The belts need to be removed and they take a special wrench. If you have to ask how chances are this is best left to the experts. The plastic sensors etc can cost you way more than any potential savings. There are several engine combination's of motors on this car and you don't say which it is you have. Best to leave this one to the experts.

If you insist - then
remove the negative battery cable
- remove the cover on top of the engine
remove the belt [s]
remove the hoses to the power steering pump
remove the bolts and the power steering pump assembly
- reverse this procedure and then 'bleed the lines' to remove any air.

Again I strongly suggest you leave this job to the experts.

I have a 2002 crhysler 300m with a 3.5 high

Hello, Had the same problem but i did just the opposite I put a 2002 engine in a 2000. I found out that the cam sensor spocket (for the timing belt) Has the holes for the cam sensor in a different spots causing all kinds of problems also they did the same with the flex plate so I hope you took the one off the 2002 and used it or you will have to pull it back out and change it. Good luck

Cooling fan switch/or sensor

The Coolant temp Sensor is located right under the top radiator hose (on the engine side), with a little black connector!, You might have to remove th etop hose to get to it with a deep socket and extension!.
Also Dont Forget to blled the coolant system by the bleeder valve uptop right near/above the coolant sensor!.(10MM Mini socket w/ extension IIRC!)

2002 Chrysler 300M Special, 3.5

You need to bleed the Cooling system(While engine is on...) through the bleeder valve on top of the engine (w/ heater selected ON,and on High Speed ofcourse!).
