Your electric a/c clutch is wearing out. You have to remove compressor to replace the a/c clutch mounted on the compressor.

If you can get someone to shim it out a little bit, it would work ok. Call a few indpenedent shops and ask if they can shim it and how much it would cost.

Just say, I need to have the clutch on my a/c compressor shimmed so my a/c clutch clamps tighter. 2000 Taurus. How much to do that?

I would guess $100 max.

Otherwise, you need to have clutch & field coil assembly replaced. Around $300 - $350.

Here is a picture of the compressor with clutch mounted on front.

1998 taurus windows keep fogging up. a/c blows cold then warm

make sure your heater core is in good condition this could be done with a compression test, if that is fine i would make sure the climate control switch is working proper and not shorting between cold and hot

Heat blows out air but does not get warm, any ideas?

If it is faulty, yes.
Does the temp gauge show the engine is warming up to normal temp ?
Is the radiator full of coolant ?
Are the heater hoses getting hot ?
It could also be a faulty blend door under the dash. The blend doors direct air thru the heater core and the vents.

My 1996 Lexus ES300 ac blows cold for a while then starts blowing warm air. Then I turn it off for a while

There are a number of possibilities.
1. If the compressor has a clutch, do you hear it engaging and disengaging?
2. The valve controlling the hot water going to the heater which mixes warm air with the cold air from the evaporator, is not working properly so it si not maintaining proper temperature.
3. THe temperature sensor that senses air temp at the intake to the AC in the cabin is defective.
4. THis is too comlicated to fix yourself, so you need to take it to an AC expert who knows this particular model.

I have 2000 ES300

2000 Ford Taurus heater blows cold air ? i have check the herter core its good and blower motor works great coolant works and is good !

this problem is caused by a part called the "temperature control blend door actuater motor" this litttle motor drive moves the door that diverts air over the heater core or AC evaporator core, when it fails it almost alwys fails in the AC only position, u will need to have the motor drive replaced

I have a 2000 Taurus with a V-6 standard motor. Unfortunately when the heat is turned on it will blow air, but not hot air. The a/c works just fine also. Where should I start looking for the solution /...

Start by allowing the motor to run until it reaches normal temperature. Check the top and bottom hoses on the radiator, if the top is hot and the bottm is cold it's likely the thermostat is stuck closed. Also check the hoses on the heater core. If they're not both hot the heater core is blocked.

No heat

Some Ford products have a problem with particles cloging up the heater core. I would start with that.
